Hello! My name is Denice (I go by ‘Dee’ ☺️) and I created Mayari Collection to express my joy of making jewellery from clay 🤲🏽
It’s such a boundless medium that has been teaching me more patience, gentleness, and self-discovery into my creative voice.
As one of my favourite artists said -
‘But what is art if it isn't birthed into existence for others mind's eyes to see? Sharing is undeniably the most sincere form of love.’
Whew.
I definitely felt this one because others’ art has helped me to heal, to grow, and to be inspired to tap into my own creativity… And with my love for adornments, it only made sense for me to start with jewellery 😌
It is a one woman show here - all of my clay earrings are made in my cozy flat in Reading, UK.
In the company of my beautiful plant babies, I:
Design, cut, sculpt, bake, sand, clean and buff all clay pieces, before assembling and packing them for you. Everything is handmade carefully with Love!
I find the process of creating jewellery very healing, and it makes my heart smile that my pieces are able to bring others a glimpse of joy. So if you're new here, I hope some of my pieces call to you, but even if not, I hope to at least inspire and empower you through sharing my own creative journey.
